You have what it takes to become a part of something BIG! Our volunteers come from all walks of life but have the common goal of wanting to help a child. It’s easy to get involved…you don’t have to change your life, you just have to make a bit of room for a new friend.

Are You Eligible? Here are some things to consider about becoming a volunteer...
- Must have a keen interest in children
- Must be 18 years of age or older (male or female)
- Must be willing to provide a 1 year commitment to a child
- Must complete an application form
- Must obtain police clearance (for vulnerable persons)
- Must provide 5 references (personal, current employer and family)
- Must be willing to be screened and interviewed
- Must attend information and child safety training sessions
- Must provide consistent follow-up on your friendship's progress and activities
- Desire to have fun and to make a difference in a child's life!
The Process. What are the steps to becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister?
- Fill out the Inquiry Form.
- Expect a call to arrange an interview with one of our Caseworkers.
- Once you successfully complete all of the enrollment procedures, our staff will take care to match you with a Little who shares your interests.
- You’ll be on your way to a rewarding and fun friendship!
