BIG Bunch is a group-mentoring program that was designed for children awaiting a one-to-one match. In this program, boys and girls meet separately at a local recreational facility to participate in group activities and sports. BIG Bunch groups also regularly enjoy off-site group outings that are organized and supervised by adult volunteers (Bigs). The BIG Bunch program is suitable for all kids on the waiting list, and also for children who have different needs than those in our one-to-one program. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity that requires less time than the Big Brother or Big Sister traditional one-to-one match, this is it! Volunteers commit to 2 four-month sessions with 2 activities per month. Of course we're thrilled to have you stay with us longer! Activities range from recreational sports, Go-Karting, Halloween parties, Christmas parades, Horseback riding, Blue Jays games, Midland Sail Past, adventures at Wonderland, to Arts & Crafts, Spa Day, and loads more!
